Beautifully written. April 21st will be one year since my father went to be with the Lord. I still have those moments when I miss him until it hurts and I know those moments will come often so long as I'm on this side.
Never forget, in Jesus Christ we have a hope eternal sealed by the Holy Spirit that indwells us. I'll pray for you and your family that the peace of God will provide you with a great balance in your minds concerning the loss of your father on this side of eternity.
So very true. I know that he is with my mother and one day I and my eternal companion will be with them again, as well as his parents. It is but the blink of an eye in the eternal perspective.
Beautiful tribute. He sounds like quite a man. May your family be comforted in his absence by such joyful memories and the hope of making yet more in eternity.
He did indeed! And more than I knew. He lived with my sister after my mother passed for the last several years, and he told her some stories that I had never heard as a child (I left home at 17 to join the Army). But, I only wrote the things that I remembered.

Sorry for your loss, as well.

Thank you so much.
And, yes, without a doubt!
Beautiful, Tiffanie. Simply beautiful.
Thank you, Harvey.
I feel like I do know him now. And he migh've served with my uncle. He was on a destroyer. Anyway, again, great tribute.
I'm glad that my writing could invoke that feeling for the reader.
I know that he went to Okinawa, and Hawaii, possibly Japan. But, that's really about all that I know of his military service. So, he might have!
Sorry to hear of this Tiffany. From the sound of it, though, he led a life well lived.

Thank you for sharing your father's life with us, Tiffanie. You were blessed to be his child. 🙏🙂
Surely I was, Thank you.
And i see him in the care you show others. 🙇♂️
I'm sorry for your loss, ma'am. He seems like a wonderful man who taught you well.
Thank you, and yes he did.
